Behavior analysts have the responsibility to adhere to this Code and all BACB rules and regulations. This includes providing truthful and accurate information in applications and documentation submitted to the BACB, meeting all BACB deadlines, not infringing the intellectual property rights of the BACB, being honest in taking BACB exams, complying with BACB supervision and course standards, be familiar with this Code and other applicable ethical codes, and report uncertified professionals who misrepresent BACB certification.

10.01 True and accurate information provided to the BACB: Behavior analysts must provide true and accurate information in applications and documentation submitted to the BACB, including credentials, education and experience. This includes providing accurate information about any criminal convictions or disciplinary sanctions.
10.02 Timely response, notification and updating of information provided to the BACB: Behavior analysts must comply with all BACB deadlines, including notifying the BACB within 30 days of the date of any of the following reasons for sanction:
A violation of this Code
A disciplinary investigation, action or sanction, filing of charges, conviction or plea of guilty or no contest by a government agency, health or healthcare organization, third party payer, or educational institution
All fines or fines related to public health and safety
A physical or mental condition that impairs the behavior analyst's ability to practice competently
Change of name, address or contact email
10.03 BACB Confidentiality and Intellectual Property: Behavior Analysts do not infringe the intellectual property rights of the BACB, including the BACB logo, the BACB certificates and credentials, the copyright of original and derivative works of the BACB, and the copyright of the BACB exam material.
10.04 Testing Honesty and Irregularities: Behavior analysts adhere to all BACB rules, including the rules and procedures required by BACB-approved testing centers and test administrators and proctors. Behavior analysts must immediately report to the BACB any suspected cheating and any other irregularities related to the administration of BACB exams.
10.05 Compliance with BACB Courses and Supervision Standards: Behavior Analysts will ensure that courses, supervised experience, RBT training and assessment, and BCaBA supervision are conducted in accordance with BACB standards.
10.06 Become familiar with this Code: Behavior analysts are required to be familiar with this Code, other applicable ethical codes, and its application to the work of behavior analysts. Ignorance or misunderstanding of a standard of conduct is not in itself a defense against an accusation of unethical conduct.
10.07 Discourage misrepresentation by non-certified individuals: Behavior analysts will report non-certified (and, where applicable, unregistered) professionals to the appropriate State Licensing Board and the BACB if the professionals misrepresent BACB certification. .
